Lyrics: Iwasaki Daisuke
Composition: R・O・N
A crystal clear blue
A certain scene in March
A misunderstood talk
If they could only let me…
Somehow—...
Somehow—...
Somehow—...
I tried to transcribe it, I tried to picture it
Did it matter what I chose? I still couldn't get used to the loneliness
So I, an invisible man, tilted my head in doubt and leaned over
It's so endearing to me now, the part of you that doesn't know how to tell a convincing lie
I've always just wanted to gaze into you
Stay with me
Someday, could those feelings reach you and link to the future?
I wish upon a nameless love, so that we can someday…
Until the day we meet again, we bid farewell
But someday
It's too late to ask now, so farewell
But someday
Ah…
What are you doing now? Who are you talking to?
I'm writing songs like I've always done
Under the downpour, the invisible man pointed at the color of your nails
I'd forgotten a pair of keys in that apartment
Along your voice that repeated the same old lines
“When can I see you again?”
I can't feel you there
We were somehow similar—how we hated ourselves, how we couldn't stand taking photos
We could only burst into laughter together
Someday, ah…
Somewhere, I will meet you again
I can change my hair color, I can meet new people
I can live through all of these busy days, and even then
Without you by my side, this heartache will tear me apart
I wish upon a nameless love, so that we can someday…
I can't breathe, you know
But even then, someday
With the help of a great power, the two of us will somehow…
Notes:
Sensei's lyrics are too artistic aren't they. I tried to keep the same feel using all those “somehow/someday/somewhere”s but that might have made it hard to understand, huh 😭
But fun fact! Invisible Man was actually meant to be the title song for Judah's Evolve CD, but Iwasaki Daisuke ended up liking Saiai too much that they had to switch them around. (source)
