Hi, Everybody I’m Mr.BlackBlack!!!
Downing a cocktail you can’t stomach
Until you’re full of sweat
Your impatience calling for more impatience
(Wet behind the ears, aren’t you?)
A shitty bar, without a hint of sweet or sour?
There we have our curious meeting
(See, we can’t go back)
After all, I wanna put it in already
This lie stained with evil
A deceptive, two-faced
Connection night
People’s rumors are the worst of the worst
We should just face one another, so how’s this gap?
Linking synapses that go beyond language itself
What love will this yellow skinned monkey speak of?
All sorts of desires come surging
So much you could drown in them and die
(Gulp it all down, will you)
The truths of this world
You don’t know anything about
I’ll teach them to you one by one tonight
(You can be a bitch alright)
Deep within, everyone bursts with a flash fever
Why are you still living, drawing breath?
(No reason) you don’t even know
People’s rumors are the worst of the worst
We should just face one another, so how’s this gap?
Linking synapses that go beyond language itself
What love will this yellow skinned monkey speak of?
Things you can’t bet your way out of begin now
They’re the fruit of a winning streak
The one who should fall is—that’s right—myself
So what if we could see eye to eye?
People’s rumors are the worst of the worst
We should just face one another, so how’s this gap?
Linking synapses that go beyond language itself
What love will this yellow skinned monkey speak of?
1- The word “gap” here refers to the gap in personality; two-facedness.
2- Using 落とす in the bridge is pretty interesting because it can mean so many things like literal falling, getting knocked down, being won over, or swooning. Luckily the word fall can serve many connotations (fall down, fall dead, fall in love) so I left it like that.
3- Got liberal with “see eye to eye” a little; original says “So what if we could see things from the same angle?” but that’s a mouthful and might not get the idea across….
4- I cannot believe I’m at a point in my life where I have to worry about this, but: In Japanese, when you call someone a bitch it usually means you think they’re promiscuous i.e. a slut. So he’s not talking about being rude here but I didn’t want to change it out of personal preference idk.
